Dear ally,
As millions in the US and around the world join Black-led calls for racial justice, we must grapple with the role of big corporations in fanning the flames of bigotry. Corporate philanthropy giant Fidelity Charitable has allowed funds to flow to local police foundations and organizations espousing racist ideas and practices. In our
latest op-ed ([link removed]) , the Unmasking Fidelity ([link removed]) campaign, launched in 2019, has called upon Fidelity Charitable to stop giving money to such organizations that promote anti-Black, anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim, and anti-LGBTQIA+ views and practices.
Community Labor United (CLU) ([link removed]) , along with our partners at Muslim Justice League (MJL) ([link removed]) , Asian American Resource Workshop ( AARW) ([link removed]) , Political Research Associates (PRA)
([link removed]) , and Resource Generation (RG) ([link removed]) find it unacceptable that Fidelity directs funding to white supremacist organizations. Fidelity Charitable must follow the leadership of the more than 80 impact-conscious corporations and foundations who have adopted a moral clause to filter out groups involved in organized bigotry.
