** No on Amendment 2

Amendment 2 is a wolf in sheep's clothing amendment that will bankrupt our state and has the potential to saddle you with a massive tax increase.

Medicaid already takes up 40% of our state's budget. Expanding the program would put a burden on Missouri of at least $200 million. Nicole Galloway and Missouri Democrats are pushing expansion but cannot tell you how they will pay for it or what state programs that would cut ([link removed]) . ([link removed])

There is no guarantee the federal government will be able to continue to pay its share of Medicaid expansion. If the federal government cannot pay for its share that means Missouri taxpayers will be on the hook to make up the difference with a massive tax increase or forced cuts in funding for schools, public safety and infrastructure.

Missourians continue to ask, “Where’s Nicole?” Liberals like Nicole Galloway can't tell you how much this new expansion of Medicaid will cost, what is her plan to pay for expansion, what taxes she would raise or programs she would cut. ([link removed]) ([link removed])

Amendment 2 is bad for Missouri and is opposed by the Missouri Farm Bureau ([link removed]) . MOFB President Blake Hurst said, “Pouring more taxpayer dollars into Medicaid without fixing the problems that are bankrupting rural hospitals will only make a bad situation worse. We need to find solutions that make healthcare more accessible and affordable, not just expand government further.”

Missouri Right to Life is encouraging Missouri’s pro-life community to vote NO on Amendment 2 and highlighted 9 reasons for opposing this amendment ([link removed]) . Planned Parenthood Advocates in Missouri say Medicaid expansion is “the single most important reason to go to the polls.” ([link removed])

Missouri taxpayers cannot afford this wolf in sheep’s clothing amendment. Medicaid expansion would take money away from our schools, and in the long term raise our taxes. This is wrong for Missouri. We are encouraging you to vote NO on Amendment 2 and share this information with your family, friends and social networks before you go to the polls on Tuesday.
