I endorsed Marie Newman because she and I both believe in the core
principles of the Democratic Party: we’re pro-choice, support LGBTQ
equality, and believe in health care for all.

Making that decision wasn’t easy. It’s explicitly going against the
establishment, and what many powerful people in the Democratic Party would
like me to do. But it was the right thing to do.

I know Marie can win, because I’ve been where she is now. In 2014, I ran
my first Congressional campaign against a Democrat incumbent and lost. In
2016, I ran again against the same Democrat and won.

Marie Newman lost to Dan Lipinski in 2018 by less than 2,200 votes. I know
that with your support, Marie can win in 2020.

Supporting the right to an abortion, LGBTQ equality, and the Affordable
Care act are all baseline values that every Democrat should support —
incumbent Dan Lipinski fails on all three.

Dan Lipinski is anti-choice, anit-LGTBQ, and anti-Obamacare. He’s a
Democrat in name only, Lipinski hasn’t fought for our values and he never
will.

Health care is a human right — but Dan Lipinski doesn’t even support the
Affordable Care Act, which helped millions of American get access to
health care. Marie Newman will fight to protect the Affordable Care Act
while we work together to achieve Medicare for All and finally treat
health care as a human right.

The people of IL-03 deserve a representative who will fight for their
interests, not the interests of corporate PACs and lobbyists. Marie Newman
will bring that change to Illinois’ 3rd district. Pitching in to Marie’s
