I endorsed Marie Newman because she and I both believe in the core principles of the Democratic Party: we’re pro-choice, support LGBTQ equality, and believe in health care for all.

I know Marie can win, because I’ve been where she is now. In 2014, I ran my first Congressional campaign against a Democrat incumbent and lost. In 2016, I ran again against the same Democrat and won.

Supporting the right to an abortion, LGBTQ equality, and the Affordable Care act are all baseline values that every Democrat should support — incumbent Dan Lipinski fails on all three.

Dan Lipinski is anti-choice, anit-LGTBQ, and anti-Obamacare. He’s a Democrat in name only, Lipinski hasn’t fought for our values and he never will.
