I read this recently, and it stopped me in my tracks:

share of the economic pie since the feds started collecting the data in
1947.'
In the richest country in the world, in a time when we’re more productive
than ever, working people are bringing home less of what they create —
while CEOs rake in record-breaking profits.
That didn’t happen by accident.
It happened because corporations learned how to rig the rules, and too
many politicians learned how to look the other way in exchange for a
campaign check.
This midterm election is about whether we keep accepting that bargain . .
. or finally break free.
That’s why I’m proud to support Abdul El-Sayed for U.S. Senate.
Abdul is running a campaign powered by working people, for working people.
He’s the only candidate in this race who has never taken money from a
corporate PAC and never will, meaning you know he’s fighting for our best
interests, not for billionaires.
Abdul believes that every worker deserves the right to join a union, and
