Your Gift DOUBLES today to Fight Antisemitism

Dear John,

Dedicated ADL supporters like you know, especially in these turbulent times, hate is never harmless. Even a seemingly isolated incident — like a swastika spray-painted on a small-town synagogue — is a sign of something much larger and much more dangerous.

That’s why when ADL learned of the antisemitic graffiti that had been painted on a synagogue in a little college town in Michigan — during an event celebrating the community’s diversity — we immediately recognized the potential threat.

Because the truth is, John, antisemitic incidents like this are at a 40-year high in the United States!

And with extremists now exploiting both the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing civil rights protests to spread fear and violence, ADL needs you more than ever to help us fight antisemitism and hate of all kinds. And when you

Do 2X the Good Today!

Your generosity has enabled ADL to amass unparalleled knowledge about American extremist groups so we can connect the dots and help uncover dangerous patterns to stop hate before it claims lives.

That’s why ADL’s experts quickly recognized the graffiti was the work of the Base — a militant and dangerous neo-Nazi extremist group, whose targets include Jews, LGBTQ+ and immigrants. We notified authorities and educated them about the group and its local cell. It turned out this graffiti was part of a much larger, multi-state, intimidation campaign. Thanks to ADL and our supporters like you, the FBI was able to put the pieces together and arrest the organizer, who lived hundreds of miles away in New Jersey.

ADL also connected the synagogue to resources to hire security for the high holidays, allowing Jewish families to worship freely and safely — as everyone should be able to do.

P.S. Antisemitic incidents, including acts of vandalism intended to sow discord and spread fear, are at a 40-year high and we’re seeing antisemitism, xenophobia and racism on the rise again in 2020.
