Dear John,

There were two momentous dates on the calendar in January—the one-year anniversary of Donald Trump’s inauguration, and the 53rd year since the U.S. Supreme Court decided Roe v. Wade, recognizing the constitutional right to privacy and guaranteeing access to abortion across the United States.

But that right was stripped away in 2022, when the votes of three Trump-appointed justices overturned Roe. Since then, 23 states have implemented full or partial abortion bans, including 13 states with total abortion bans.

Last month, NOW members across the country participated in events, went on marches, and spoke out for women’s rights, showing our opposition to Trump and his enablers, and our defense of reproductive health care rights.

As always, NOW was where we needed to be.

As NOW celebrates our 60th Anniversary year, that indomitable spirit, grassroots energy, and decades of frontline activism are still the best way to stand up to Trump.

I’m asking you today to keep standing with us by making a gift to NOW today.

As we begin the second year of the second Trump era, and the fifth year since the Supreme Court overturned Roe , it’s important to keep in mind just why NOW has been able to stay for so long as the instantly recognizable face of grassroots feminist activism.

While we’ve never had to confront a threat like Donald Trump, we’ve stood up against his kind of toxic masculinity for decades—and we’re growing stronger all the time as more women get involved in our movement.

NOW’s multi-issue approach to the fight for women’s rights is needed more than ever. If you’re able, you can respond with a special gift through our secure website today.
