Friend, I’m Terri, the Executive Director here at the Texas Democratic Party. I want to be very clear about what’s at stake right now with this “voter suppression mindset” from the TX GOP right now.

The Texas Secretary of State is the only entity capable of aggregating election data across all 254 counties. When their systems fail or when information is delayed, the consequences ripple across the entire state.
Since last summer, we’ve experienced:
* Months-long delays in voter file requests
*
* Incomplete and outdated data
*
* Missing precinct assignments for millions of voters
*
* Late or inconsistent polling location information
This is not normal. And it is not acceptable. And that’s why Texas Dems are organizing right now to get the RIGHT information into the hands of voters all across the state before the primaries on March 3.

When official systems fail, voters are more likely to disengage — not because they don’t care, but because they don’t know where or how to vote. The GOP wants people to lose faith in systems; they want people to feel a lack of confidence that their vote matters or will even be counted.

But we refuse to let that happen.

That’s why we’re investing heavily in voter protection efforts ahead of the March primary.

This information is scary to hear. It may have you thinking, “Why bother voting at all if things are this messed up?” I want you to hear me loud and clear: your vote is still your right, and we implore you not to let confusion turn you away.

A majority of Texans still have correct voting information, but we’re worried about those who don’t. I trust you because you’ve helped us before, and because we need your help to ensure we have the resources in place to reach out to voters. [[link removed]]

Our efforts to help limit the confusion for voters caused by the Texas Secretary of State’s poor job performance require funding. Your contribution to our 2026 Voter Protection Fund helps us make sure every Texan can access accurate information, cast their ballots confidently, and trust the process, even when the state fails them.

If you are able, please make a contribution today before the end-of-month deadline. [[link removed]]If you’ve saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Thank you for standing with Texas voters,

Terri
We are the Texas Dems. We're protecting Texans from Republican extremists and their unending stream of misinformation statewide. Let's be clear, Texas Republicans have drawn district lines to choose the voters they want, and D.C. Republicans have poured tens of millions of dollars in dark money into Texas. We are on the front lines of pushing back against their influence with voters.
Taking Texas back from extremist Republicans is going to take all of us. Will you chip in now to help us elect Democrats who will work hard to represent all Texans, and not just the wealthy few? [[link removed]]
