The Texas Secretary of State is the only entity capable of aggregating election data across all 254 counties. When their systems fail or when information is delayed, the consequences ripple across the entire state.

Since last summer, we’ve experienced:
- Months-long delays in voter file requests
- Incomplete and outdated data
- Missing precinct assignments for millions of voters
- Late or inconsistent polling location information
This is not normal. And it is not acceptable. And that’s why Texas Dems are organizing right now to get the RIGHT information into the hands of voters all across the state before the primaries on March 3.

When official systems fail, voters are more likely to disengage — not because they don’t care, but because they don’t know where or how to vote. The GOP wants people to lose faith in systems; they want people to feel a lack of confidence that their vote matters or will even be counted.
But we refuse to let that happen.
That’s why we’re investing heavily in voter protection efforts ahead of the March primary.
We get it! This is probably frustrating to hear, and it can be easy to feel like the system isn’t working. But your vote is always your right, and that’s exactly why it’s so important to use it, even in the face of confusion.
A majority of Texans still have correct voting information, but we’re worried about those who don’t. I trust you because you’ve helped us before, and because we need your help to ensure we have the resources in place to reach out to voters.
