I know you’ve heard a lot from me and my team lately -- it means the world to have you on my side during these difficult times. Right now, I need to level with you about the rapid changes in my race:
- The nonpartisan experts at the Cook Political Report have ranked CA-45 as the most vulnerable Democratic-held seat in Southern California. We’re the only show in town, and the national GOP is preparing to launch new attacks now that we’re in the election year.
- I’m facing a growing list of challengers -- and rumor has it that a high-profile Republican with deep pockets is circling our race. That would escalate the stakes in this race to new heights, where the consequence of losing could mean the House majority.
- Proposition 50 added tens of thousands of voters to the district who have never seen my name on the ballot -- and likely don’t know my story. I flipped this seat by 653 votes in 2024, so I know how critical it is to reach every voter.
So, we need an all-out push to meet our first fundraising goal of the election year and prepare for what’s to come. $3 or any amount today would give us the tools to reach voters and push back against Republican influence in this race.
