I know you’ve heard a lot from me and my team lately -- it means the world to have you on my side during these difficult times. Right now, I need to level with you about the rapid changes in my race:

The nonpartisan experts at the Cook Political Report have ranked CA-45 as the most vulnerable Democratic-held seat in Southern California. We’re the only show in town, and the national GOP is preparing to launch new attacks now that we’re in the election year.

I’m facing a growing list of challengers -- and rumor has it that a high-profile Republican with deep pockets is circling our race. That would escalate the stakes in this race to new heights, where the consequence of losing could mean the House majority.

Proposition 50 added tens of thousands of voters to the district who have never seen my name on the ballot -- and likely don’t know my story. I flipped this seat by 653 votes in 2024, so I know how critical it is to reach every voter.

So, we need an all-out push to meet our first fundraising goal of the election year and prepare for what’s to come. $3 or any amount today would give us the tools to reach voters and push back against Republican influence in this race.
