** What role can we all play in harnessing current disruption to drive change?
------------------------------------------------------------

Seven-plus months into the COVID-19 pandemic and momentum grows for calls to 'build back better.' But just how do we ensure we emerge into something more resilient, sustainable and equitable – and, more specifically, what role can we all play in harnessing current disruption to drive change?

This was the focus of Forum’s recent Future of Sustainability UK/EU webinar ([link removed][UNIQID]) , in which we explored four possible trajectories we see emerging from COVID-19. Among the four sits Transform – a trajectory in which we recognise that human health equals planetary health and move to support efforts to create a world that is truly regenerative.

As Forum’s Chief Executive, Dr Sally Uren, explores in her latest Corporate Leadership in the Time of Corona column, Transform must prevail and what we do right now - and in the next six months - has never mattered more.

** A look back at 2019
------------------------------------------------------------

Forum has published its 2019 Annual Report, highlighting progress in our work to help keep global warming to within 1.5 degrees and to ensure the sustainability of food and value chains.

While 2019 may seem a distant memory, it was a year in which the climate and biodiversity crises dramatically intensified. 2019’s global average temperature was 1.1°C above the pre-industrial period and the year became the second hottest on record. 2019 also concluded a decade of exceptional heat, retreating ice caps and rising sea levels.

Consequently, the 2020s are set for extreme turbulence, compounded by the world’s latest threat: COVID-19. Forum’s work, with the support of our partners, has never been more relevant and urgent and the report captures the many lessons learned over 12 months through our coaching programmes, our School of System Change ([link removed][UNIQID]) , our work with organisations to develop transformational strategies, and our cross-sector collaborations.

We're away this week! (Kind of.)

We'll be online delivering work as normal, but once a year the Forum team takes time to re-examine, reflect and re-connect with each other and the longterm goals and missions of our organisation. We call this our 'Away Days.' This year it's a little different, as we organise a 'virtual festival,' including breakout stages and lost and found, and we welcome the chance to take step back and look at the big picture. We hope you have a chance to do the same in your personal and/or professional lives.
