After a long day on the campaign trail, coming home to my dog, John Bender, always brings a huge smile to my face.

John Bender, if you don’t know, is the name of the rough-and-tough kid in the 80’s movie The Breakfast Club who gets in fights, insults teachers, and gets weekly detentions.

But unlike the movie John Bender, my John Bender is just a lovable cute cuddle-ball who would never hurt a soul!

When I first met John Bender, he would follow me everywhere. So when his owner told me that he couldn’t take care of Bender anymore, my family and I were thrilled to adopt this little ball of love.

[[link removed]]In addition to loving Dog Night at an Omaha Storm Chasers' game, John Bender prefers to spend his days being held like a newborn baby and napping more hours than he spends awake every day. Honestly, I’m jealous of him.
