Our seniors built our communities.
Our caregivers hold families together.
Our veterans answered the call to serve.
Yet today, too many are being left behind.
Seniors are being priced out of their homes. Family caregivers are overwhelmed. And veterans still struggle to turn their service into stable civilian careers.
That’s not respect. And it’s not acceptable.

My 4-Step Plan to Support Those Who Gave So Much
************************************************
1. A Caregiver Tax Credit
Family caregivers save the system billions every year, often at great personal cost. I support a caregiver tax credit to help families caring for aging parents or loved ones with serious needs.
2. Utility-Rate Protections for Seniors
Seniors on fixed incomes shouldn’t be crushed by rising electricity and utility bills. I support protections that keep basic necessities affordable.
3. Expand Senior Mental-Health Care
Men over 65 have the highest rates of death by firearms in San Diego — a clear sign we are failing seniors’ mental health. I support expanding senior mental-health beds and crisis support services.
4. Veterans Housing & Workforce Pipelines
If you spent years serving your country, your skills should transfer. I support housing and workforce pipelines that translate military training directly into civilian credentials, jobs, or job training.

Veterans Workforce Focus
************************
Service should lead to opportunity — not endless paperwork or uncertainty.
I support expanding vocational military education and workforce pipelines that allow service members to earn real, transferable skills while they serve — skills that translate directly into civilian careers in the trades, healthcare, technology, engineering, and other high-demand fields.
This means fewer barriers, faster credentialing, and a clear path from uniform to paycheck.
It strengthens our workforce, fills critical labor shortages, and gives veterans something they’ve earned: a future with stability, dignity, and purpose.
Because investing in veterans isn’t charity — it’s common sense.
We don’t honor seniors, caregivers, and veterans with slogans.
We honor them with action — and that’s exactly what this plan delivers.
We don’t honor seniors, caregivers, and veterans with slogans.
We honor them with real support, real solutions, and real respect.
