Today, Republicans in Congress (backed by Trump) are trying to hand ICE even more money with zero accountability.

As a member of the House Appropriations Committee with direct oversight over ICE’s budget, I am voting NO. We cannot give even more funding to an agency that acts as if it is above the law.

Under the direction of Donald Trump and Kristi Noem, ICE has moved from law enforcement to absolute lawlessness. They are terrorizing our neighborhoods, tear-gassing protesters, and operating in the shadows behind masks and unmarked cars.

I don’t feel any safer, and I know millions of Americans feel the same way. So I’m drawing a line in the sand. We need real reforms now:

* Mandatory body cameras for every agent
* A total ban on masks used by agents to hide their identities
* Real oversight to stop the abuse of power
