It’s here! Nebraska’s new Model Floodplain Management Ordinance is now available for communities looking to update their local floodplain regulations. This is the first major update to the Model Ordinance since 2021, and we couldn’t be more excited! This new model now features a full guidance package to help your community draft your floodplain regulations. The new packet now includes:


* Table of Contents
* Letter from the NFIP Coordinator
* Ordinance Drafting Instructions and Checklist
* *The Model Ordinance*
* Guide to Optional or Higher Standards for Floodplain Administration
