New Model Floodplain Ordinance Release

It’s here! Nebraska’s new Model Floodplain Management Ordinance is now available for communities looking to update their local floodplain regulations. This is the first major update to the Model Ordinance since 2021, and we couldn’t be more excited! This new model now features a full guidance package to help your community draft your floodplain regulations. The new packet now includes:

*The release of this new model ordinance does not require every community to update their regulations. However, moving forward, any community updating their regulations using Nebraska’s model must use this newest version.
