Next Wednesday, Governor JB Pritzker is headlining Contest Every Race's Ready to Run [[link removed]] rally.

This is how we’re kicking off 2026: A free national virtual event for people across the country who are ready to step up and run for local office — school boards, county commissions, sheriffs, all of it. Governor Pritzker will be joined by our team and partners from all over the country, all focused on one thing: finding the candidates who will fight for their communities this year.

Candidate filing deadlines in Missouri, Alabama, and Ohio are coming up in the next few weeks. If we don't get people excited about running now, those races go uncontested, and Republicans win by default.
