Next Wednesday, Governor JB Pritzker is headlining Contest Every Race's Ready to Run rally.

This is how we’re kicking off 2026: A free national virtual event for people across the country who are ready to step up and run for local office — school boards, county commissions, sheriffs, all of it. Governor Pritzker will be joined by our team and partners from all over the country, all focused on one thing: finding the candidates who will fight for their communities this year.

Candidate filing deadlines in Missouri, Alabama, and Ohio are coming up in the next few weeks. If we don't get people excited about running now, those races go uncontested, and Republicans win by default.

Can you chip in $10 before the rally to make sure we have the resources to follow up with every single person who raises their hand?

Here's what we know: this works. Last year, 908 people we reached out to ran for office. 49% of them won. Not because they were handpicked or had connections, but because someone asked them to run, and then helped them do it.

That's what Ready to Run is about. Showing people across the country that they're not alone, they're needed, and they can do this.

But a rally only matters if we can act on it. Every dollar you give helps turn one event into hundreds of real candidates on real ballots.
