*LCB Action: Alcohol-Related Rulemaking – Expanded Alcohol Service Areas, 2SHB 1515, Final Rules

On Jan. 7, 2026, during its regularly scheduled meeting the Liquor and Cannabis Board (LCB) took the following alcohol-related action:
*Expanded Alcohol Service Areas: Final Rules Filed
*
The Board approved final rules to amend existing rules in Title 314 WAC and create new rules in Chapter 314-02 WAC [ [link removed] ] implementing Second Substitute House Bill (2SHB) 1515 (chapter 361, Laws of 2025) [ [link removed] ] which expanded allowable areas of public alcohol consumption in various ways. The new rule language takes effect Feb. 7, 2026.
