LCB Action: Alcohol-Related Rulemaking – Expanded Alcohol Service Areas, 2SHB 1515, Final Rules
On Jan. 7, 2026, during its regularly scheduled meeting the Liquor and Cannabis Board (LCB) took the following alcohol-related action:
Expanded Alcohol Service Areas: Final Rules Filed
The Board approved final rules to amend existing rules in Title 314 WAC and create new rules in Chapter 314-02 WAC implementing Second Substitute House Bill (2SHB) 1515 (chapter 361, Laws of 2025) which expanded allowable areas of public alcohol consumption in various ways. The new rule language takes effect Feb. 7, 2026.
