Climate Champion,
The Trump Administration has moved to slash fuel economy standards for cars and trucks. This move will lead to consumers spending more on gas, while increasing pollution and accelerating climate change.
The Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) program requires car manufacturers to gradually make their vehicles more fuel-efficient over time.
Sounds like a no-brainer, doesn’t it? The cost of living is already high enough. Why roll back a program cutting both climate pollution and costs?
Act now: Urge the Department of Transportation to keep current CAFE standards in place to cut climate pollution and help working families save money. [[link removed]]
TAKE ACTION [[link removed]]
Less fuel-efficient cars mean more air pollution, more money at the pump, and more greenhouse gas emissions fueling rising temperatures. All to line the pockets of oil and gas companies.
We can’t afford to lower our standards. Will you send a message to save these critical protections?
Submit a public comment by the January 20 deadline to tell Department of Transportation to maintain strong CAFE standards. [[link removed]]
