Climate Champion, The Trump Administration has moved to slash fuel economy standards for cars and trucks. This move will lead to consumers spending more on gas, while increasing pollution and accelerating climate change. The Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) program requires car manufacturers to gradually make their vehicles more fuel-efficient over time. Sounds like a no-brainer, doesn’t it? The cost of living is already high enough. Why roll back a program cutting both climate pollution and costs? Less fuel-efficient cars mean more air pollution, more money at the pump, and more greenhouse gas emissions fueling rising temperatures. All to line the pockets of oil and gas companies. We can’t afford to lower our standards. Will you send a message to save these critical protections? Thanks for everything you do, -Your friends at Climate Reality
