On Saturday, in the dead of night, Donald Trump launched an unauthorized, deadly attack on Venezuela and kidnapped Nicolás Maduro and his wife.

No one should pretend Maduro was legitimate — he jailed opponents, crushed protests, and caused tremendous suffering across Venezuela and the world. Him being gone isn’t a loss.
