JOHN, On Saturday, in the dead of night, Donald Trump launched an unauthorized, deadly attack on Venezuela and kidnapped Nicolás Maduro and his wife. No one should pretend Maduro was legitimate — he jailed opponents, crushed protests, and caused tremendous suffering across Venezuela and the world. Him being gone isn’t a loss. But for Trump, this isn’t about fighting authoritarianism and supporting the Venezuelan people. It’s about seizing oil for his billionaire buddies. Look, America cannot "run" Venezuela. We must say NO to endless wars over oil that serve no one except the wealthy and powerful.
