The House will vote this week on major cuts to safe, lead-free water, and our health is at risk. Urge Congress to block Trumpβs cuts to water safety! ([link removed])
John,
Lead service lines are the primary source of lead in drinking water, and millions of families are exposed to this dangerous neurotoxin from their water every single day. Yet, Trump is on a mission to strip funding for replacing lead pipes.
As the House votes on an annual spending bill package THIS WEEK, weβre urging Congress to stand firm against Trumpβs toxic agenda by passing a spending bill that fully funds clean water.
Tell your Representative today: Protect federal funding for safe, lead-free water! ([link removed])
Safe Water Now! ([link removed])
Lead is a dangerous neurotoxin that harms every major system of the human body. There is no safe level of lead in drinking water, and it is especially dangerous for children. Lead exposure can lead to developmental disorders, damage to the nervous system and blood cells, low birthweights, and many other harms.
Communities need every dollar to replace toxic lead service lines with safer copper lines. However, this spending legislation aims to eliminate $125 million in funding to replace lead pipes that Congress already approved in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
Your Representative needs to hear from you right now: Support safe, clean, and lead-free water. ([link removed])
Our activism in 2025 made a significant impact! Last year, we blocked attempts to repeal the Lead Out of Water Rule, which requires the replacement of lead service lines. And just this week, cuts to clean water funding in the spending bill have been lessened. But thereβs still more work to be doneβ¦
Now, weβre urging Congress to remove the provision in the spending bill that eliminates existing funding for lead service line replacement. Letβs keep the pressure on to protect safe, lead-free water ahead of the vote this week! ([link removed])
