Dear John,

Western Lake Erie has once again been relegated to pea soup, thanks to the return of toxic green algae.

This long-standing problem could have been addressed years ago with strong, enforceable pollution runoff limits. Instead, Ohio keeps trying to escape its legal obligation to protect Lake Erie from phosphorus pollution by throwing money at voluntary farming practices that don't work. The US EPA hasn’t held Ohio accountable for implementing an effective pollution reduction plan either, which is why we took them to court!

ELPC is proud to be the environmental watchdog of the Midwest. This month, your donation to ELPC will be TRIPLED MATCHED ([link removed]) thanks to one of our generous donors.

Your support helps ELPC fight back against a myriad of environmental rollbacks. We're also working hard to protect safe drinking water and the Great Lakes, and to build a clean energy future across the Midwest.

If you’re in a position to give back, please DONATE by August 15 for 3X the impact. ([link removed])

Thanks for your support.
