This long-standing problem could have been addressed years ago with strong, enforceable pollution runoff limits. Instead, Ohio keeps trying to escape its legal obligation to protect Lake Erie from phosphorus pollution by throwing money at voluntary farming practices that don't work. The US EPA hasn’t held Ohio accountable for implementing an effective pollution reduction plan either, which is why we took them to court!
