Both races are hotly contested and the winners will shape the local criminal justice landscape for the next four years. We will spotlight the prosecutorial landscape in Wayne and Oakland counties in Michigan, and share ways you can support a new vision for safety and justice in our country that is rooted in decarceration.

We, alongside our partners ACLU Michigan, Michigan Liberation, FORCE Detroit, MOSES and Detroit Justice Center, will provide attendees an opportunity to learn about the role of prosecutors in the criminal legal system in an effort to ensure voters feel empowered before arriving to the polls. Advancement Project National Office’s Justice Project proudly supports grassroots movements in communities of color that challenge racial criminalization and attack all aspects of the criminal legal system.
