Despite spending most of her
career advocating for local control, she’s now reversed her
stance in order to blindly support President Trump’s agenda to
prematurely open up the economy -- risking the lives of millions
all for the stock returns of a few.

Children won’t be the only ones
paying the price; teachers, bus drivers, janitors, administrative
workers, and other school staff, many of whom fall into high-risk
categories — 60 years or older, pre-existing medical conditions,
etc. — will have to choose between risking their lives and
risking their jobs. No one should have to make that kind of
decision in the United States.

This type of merciless, profit-focused legislation, which sweeps
working class families under the rug is unconscionable. Betsy
Devos simply can’t be bothered to care about the risks and
decisions she will be forcing these families to make. Her lack of
compassion and care for the American people suffering through an
unprecedented crisis is astounding.
