Up next, we have a piece by our reporter from Brazil, Roberta. They write about a right-wing politician being forced to pay restitution to a trans woman after violently misgendering her on social media.

* In Brazil, calling a trans woman a man is a violation of anti-discrimination laws.
* Brazil does have both freedom of speech and freedom of press, however there are consequences in place for hateful speech that is in violation of the law.
* The politician must pay the woman he misgendered 40,000 Reais, which works out to about $7251 in US Dollars (at time of writing).
