Ways to Love Your Elderly Family at Christmas

Focus on the Family hears from a lot of people who say they don’t know how to connect with elderly loved ones. Old age makes many people uncomfortable. They don’t understand how to connect with elderly people.

Author Isabel Tom, who I spoke with on the radio program, can help. She grew up with her paternal grandparents, “YeYe” and “Mama,” who lived in the bedroom next to hers. They were 71 and 68 respectively when Isabel was born, and Isabel lived with them for the first 26 years of her life. YeYe died at age 98 and Mama died at age 102.
