I’m proud to have represented CA-49 in Congress since 2019. While a lot has changed over the years, something that has never wavered is my refusal to accept a penny from corporate PACs.

When I first began running for this seat in 2017, political experts told me I’d never defeat the GOP machine without “playing ball” -- taking special interest money to fund my campaign.

I refused, and never looked back. I’ve always believed that I’m beholden to the people of this district, not corporations who want to push their own agenda.

Mega donors and corporations already have far too much power in our country. It’s only grown -- and now, the president is protecting the billionaires with huge tax breaks instead of fighting for working families on the brink of losing healthcare amidst an affordability crisis.

The hard truth is that it makes fundraising like our upcoming FEC deadline harder. I rely on small-dollar donations from supporters like you to stay in Congress fighting for better -- will you chip in $3 or any amount today?
