Dear Friend,
In the newsletter this week
* Bondi Beach misinformation
* Have teacher numbers gone up or down under Labour?
* How many Brits emigrated from the UK?
* Government Tracker
* More fact checks...
But first...
Resident doctors (previously known as junior doctors) are on strike again in England, and claims are being made to support or discredit the justification for the strikes.
Labour MP Oliver Ryan suggested that resident doctors had a 29% pay increase last year, while the BMA claimed that resident doctors have had a 21% pay cut since 2008/9. We’ve surgically dissected both of these claims.

** How many Brits emigrated from the UK? ([link removed])
------------------------------------------------------------
By: Hannah Smith ([link removed])
Our fact checking team often looks into immigration claims but this week we’re looking at a couple of suspicious emigration claims. Did 695,000 Brits leave the UK last year or was that number actually much closer to 250,000?

We have also looked at another claim that 110,000 Brits between the ages of 16 and 34 have left the country since June of this year.
