Lauren Boebert, of course, was ready to lick Trump’s boots and push to have yet another convicted felon released from prison (Boebert fought hard to get a Trump pardon for grifter and liar George Santos): The President of the United States does not have the power to pardon people convicted under state criminal law. But Trump is pressing the boundaries of what he can get away with—and this is a clear attempt by Trump to lay the groundwork and the legal precedent to pardon any MAGA loyalist who is willing to try and steal elections for Republicans. What comes next could be worse than the violent attempted coup on January 6, 2021. That’s why it is time to defeat Trump’s loyal ally, Lauren Boebert.
