John,

Another day, another attack on clean water.

Trump’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed a draft rule that could strip protections from about 80% of all wetlands nationwide and further weaken the bedrock Clean Water Act, making it even easier to fill, drain, and pollute sensitive waterways from coast to coast.

Take action before the comment period ends on January 5: Tell Trump’s EPA to maintain clean water protections. ([link removed])

Protect Clean Water! ([link removed])

For over half a century, the Clean Water Act has safeguarded communities from industrial water pollution. Rapidly evolving threats, including those from PFAS chemicals, fossil fuel pipelines, and factory farm waste, mean the EPA must work to fortify our defenses — not eviscerate them.

But instead of cracking down on corporate polluters, it is encouraging MORE pollution by eliminating protections for sensitive wetlands. If finalized, this rule will result in increased pollution downstream — in our drinking water, at our beaches, and in our rivers.

Wetlands are crucial for protecting clean water, providing habitats, and mitigating flooding. These critical functions are only becoming more important as climate change increases the frequency of extreme weather events.

Even under the Trump Administration, public comments are still a critical part of the democratic process and can help stop this dangerous rule!

We cannot allow pro-polluter policies to undermine our bedrock environmental protections. Send your message urging the EPA to reverse course and maintain protections for wetlands and streams. ([link removed])

Thanks for taking action,
