News From The States: Court blocks Trump administration plan to block funds for Planned Parenthood

We secured a major win, blocking the Trump administration from stripping Medicaid reimbursements from Planned Parenthood and other health centers that provide essential healthcare such as cancer screenings, birth control, and STI testing and treatment.

The court agreed with us:

– The Trump administration’s Defund Provision is likely unconstitutional
– It would cause irreparable harm to states
– It violates the Spending Clause by blindsiding Medicaid programs with retroactive, unclear rules

This ruling protects care for countless people, but the work doesn’t stop here.
