[link removed]’s-Misguided-Policy-of-Domination_FINAL_COMPRESSED.pdfDear Friend,

Good Monday morning!

I am excited to offer you the first look at Quincy Institute’s report ([link removed][UNIQID] ) [link removed][UNIQID] why and how the U.S. must end its misguided quest for dominance in the Middle East. We are releasing the report later today.

The paper puts forward an approach that breaks with the military-heavy policies of the past three decades, which have left the region more unstable, ravaged by more extremism, and with more failed or failing states.

The authors -- retired U.S. intelligence officer and QI Non-Resident Fellow Paul Pillar ([link removed][UNIQID]) , QI President Andrew Bacevich ([link removed][UNIQID]) , QI Research Fellow for the Middle East Annelle Sheline ([link removed][UNIQID]) and Executive Vice President Trita Parsi ([link removed][UNIQID]) -- call for the development of a holistic regional framework that re-evaluates all bilateral relationships against promotion of core U.S. interests and the benefit of the peoples of the region.

You can read the full report ([link removed][UNIQID] ) here. Take a look as well at our new video ([link removed][UNIQID]) which takes on the pressing question that spurred this report: For all the efforts the United States has made to shape the Middle East, why is the region still in chaos?

We’ll be sending the report out to the media ([link removed][UNIQID]) and up to Capitol Hill. We would greatly appreciate your help in publicizing it on social media or by including it in your own writing, or sharing this email with others who may be interested. We've also produced some graphics we'd be delighted for you to share on social media [#1 ([link removed]) , #2 ([link removed][UNIQID]) , #3 ([link removed][UNIQID]) , #4 ([link removed][UNIQID]) , and #5 ([link removed][UNIQID]) )

We will hold a Zoom webinar to discuss the report in the coming weeks and will share details soon.

Keep well,
