Friends,

Leave it to a prosecutor to call out wrongdoing.

[A tweet from @KamalaHarris reads “Trump commutes the prison sentence of Roger Stone while the officers that killed Breonna Taylor are still free. The two systems of justice in this country must end."]

It’s no surprise that Senator Harris, who has led the charge for police reform in Congress, is now taking on the systemic racism deep within our justice system -- the kind that lets powerful white men get away with literal murder.

It makes us proud to see a lawmaker of color holding high-ranking criminals accountable -- under this president, it’s been a rare sight. And her fierce condemnation of Trump’s pardon puts her on the same page as the Biden campaign -- who similarly denounced the move as an abuse of power.

While speculation over Senator Harris’s potential spot on the Democratic ticket is still ongoing, we’re just glad that vulnerable Americans now know they have a champion in Congress. But the more waves Senator Harris makes, the more criticism she’ll inevitably draw -- which is why we’re reaching out to the most engaged voters to see where they stand:

Do you approve of Kamala Harris?
