DWC releases 2025 health care provider PBO results

DWC has published the 2025 health care provider performance-based oversight assessment results and a list of the health care provider tier placements.

DWC regularly evaluates health care providers for compliance with Texas Labor Code Section 402.075 [ [link removed] ] and 28 Texas Administrative Code Section 180.19 [ [link removed] ].

DWC news: plan-based audit
DWC publishes results of Gabapentin or Pregablin with Opioids Plan-Based Audit

On November 15, 2023, DWC announced an audit [ [link removed] ] of the prescribing practices of health care providers when prescribing gabapentin or pregablin in combination with opioids. DWC has now posted an executive summary [ [link removed] ] with the overall assessment of this completed audit.

System maintenance
TXCOMP and Employer E-File maintenance

TXCOMP and Employer E-File will be offline for maintenance from 6 a.m. to midnight on Saturday, December 13.

During this time, you will not be able to use these systems to:


* Report a work-related injury using the web-enabled form.
* Locate an insurance carrier's contact information.
* Access health care provider or designated doctor agent accounts.
* Verify a designated doctor's certification to certify for maximum medical improvement and assign impairment ratings.
* File DWC Form-005 or DWC Form-020SI online.

DWC's online attorney fee processing system at Texas.gov [ [link removed] ] will be available.

System participants can temporarily verify employer's coverage through NCCI [ [link removed] ].
