With the holidays coming up, many of us are busy buying presents for our families and loved ones. But while you are wrapping gifts for your loved ones, do you know what kinds of gifts your lawmakers are receiving?

Right now, under Pennsylvania law, lawmakers can accept unlimited gifts from anyone—lobbyists, corporations, and special interests—as long as they disclose items worth more than $250.

That is unacceptable.

Pennsylvanians deserve to know that decisions in Harrisburg are made in their best interests, not as favors to those with influence and deep pockets. That’s why I support gift ban legislation to increase trust in government.

I have never been afraid to take action to hold the powerful accountable. Whether it is demanding billionaires pay their fair share or fighting against corporate loopholes, I believe public trust is the foundation of good governance.

My vote is not for sale, and it never will be.
