Here’s an update from our campaign:

Ending Waste, Fraud, and Abuse

There has been a lot of recent news about fraud in government programs. Taxpayer dollar should be protected from fraud. Every dollar stolen in fraud is a dollar that does not support American citizens.

Republicans have prioritized protecting taxpayer dollars and ending waste, fraud, and abuse. Legislation passed earlier this year, the Working Family Tax Cuts, protects taxpayer dollars by:

* Requiring able-bodied childless adults on Medicaid to work or volunteer 20 hours a week to receive benefits
* Preventing states from giving taxpayer funded benefits to illegal immigrants
* Requiring states to check Medicaid eligibility twice a year

These reforms ensure important programs support the people they were designed to serve — pregnant women, children, and disabled Americans. Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers proved why these reforms are so important.

Last week, Tony Evers vetoed ([link removed]) a bill to prevent state taxpayer dollars from funding programs for illegal immigrants. Evers did this even after news broke that Minnesota allowed more than $1 billion in fraud ([link removed]) .

Radicals Running in Wisconsin

Wisconsin always has close elections. 2026 will be no different.

Already, our district, WI01, has a set of radical left-wing activists running to take this seat. These activists have:

* Advocated to abolish ICE ([link removed])
* Called federal law enforcement agents “Brownshirts ([link removed]) ”
* Voiced support for continuing the government shutdown that harmed working families
* Aligned themselves with the Socialist policies of Bernie Sanders, AOC, and NYC’s Zohran Mandami

The Left is looking to take control, roll back Republican accomplishments, and institute a radical agenda. They saw a socialist in NYC win election last month and think they can take these radical policies nationwide.

Now Mandela Barnes announced he is running for Governor. Barnes is the failed former Democrat Senate Candidate who ran against U.S. Senator Ron Johnson in 2022.

* Advocated against law enforcement funding ([link removed])
* Called for eliminating cash bail ([link removed]) nationwide
* Called for abolishing ICE ([link removed])
* Failed to pay his property taxes ([link removed])
* Supports the Green New Deal and called to “stymie capitalism ([link removed]) ”

Securing U.S. Electionshttps://www.ice.gov/news/releases/ice-releases-new-information-extensive-criminal-history-illegal-alien-ian-roberts-whoThis year, Ian Roberts, an illegal immigrant, was arrested ([link removed]) with a handgun, knife, and thousands of dollars in cash. Roberts has a long record of charges including multiple arrests for weapons possession as well as narcotics. He was serving as superintendent of the Des Moines School District in Iowa.

Roberts was registered ([link removed]) to vote in Maryland, even though he lived in Iowa and was in the U.S. illegally. Maryland officials released portions of Roberts’ registration paperwork, but redacted ([link removed]) his answer to the citizenship question. They omitted this answer despite two public records requests ([link removed]) .

Non-citizens should not be registered to vote in U.S. Elections. Last week, I wrote ([link removed]) to Maryland’s board of elections, seeking answers to:
* How Roberts became registered to vote?
* Why Robert’s answer to the citizenship question was redacted?
* Which elections Roberts voted in?
* How Maryland verifies citizenship on their voter rolls?

U.S. elections should be for U.S. citizens only. I remain committed to securing our elections from foreign influence and uncovering potential vulnerabilities.
