Ending Waste, Fraud, and Abuse
There has been a lot of recent news about fraud in government programs. Taxpayer dollar should be protected from fraud. Every dollar stolen in fraud is a dollar that does not support American citizens.
Republicans have prioritized protecting taxpayer dollars and ending waste, fraud, and abuse. Legislation passed earlier this year, the Working Family Tax Cuts, protects taxpayer dollars by:
Requiring able-bodied childless adults on Medicaid to work or volunteer 20 hours a week to receive benefits
Preventing states from giving taxpayer funded benefits to illegal immigrants
Requiring states to check Medicaid eligibility twice a year
These reforms ensure important programs support the people they were designed to serve — pregnant women, children, and disabled Americans. Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers proved why these reforms are so important.
