Folks,
What we are seeing in Yemen is unlike any tragedy witnessed before — especially for the millions of malnourished children who are in need of health and nutrition support.

Right now, continued fighting is preventing much-needed shipments of food from entering the country. Skyrocketing food costs mean parents are unable to feed their children. And, as COVID-19 rips through the country, Yemen's health system has effectively collapsed, leaving malnourished children even more susceptible to falling ill.

The situation is incredibly urgent for children and families in Yemen and other crisis zones worldwide. That's why we're rallying as many of our supporters as possible to step up and help this week.

Your gift will help us support families like Bodor's in Yemen.

Bodor and her family were forced to flee their home as missiles drew closer and closer. They left scared, and without any money or water. After walking for two hours and getting in a car, they arrived at a camp in Damt. Terrifyingly, war found them again, and they ended up in Aden.

Bodor was in a displacement camp when she gave birth to her youngest daughter. An IRC midwife rushed to help her, ensuring she and her baby were healthy and safe — which inspired Bodor to name her daughter Engath, or "Rescuer" after the International Rescue Committee.

Bodor and her husband now have three daughters under the age of five and she is afraid they will get sick or be in harm's way. COVID-19 is spreading rapidly in Yemen, airstrikes are continuing, and food is hard to come by.

Listen, you can help us provide crucial support and protect children and families like Bodor's who are facing an unprecedented hunger crisis, on top of the COVID-19 pandemic. Triple your impact today and help us prevent the loss of innocent life around the world.

Bodor tells us: "We don't have necessary things like vegetables, water, flour, rice and other household necessities. And we don't have the money to buy them."

Look%, so many children and families in Yemen and worldwide are in urgent need of our support. Triple your gift today and help us rush 3X the lifesaving aid to where it’s needed most. »

With your generous support, the IRC can scale up our work to provide critical assistance, like medicine and nutrition for children, reproductive health care for pregnant and lactating women, and cash assistance to those who need it most.

You can also help us mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and deliver much needed items, for example, protective gear, water and sanitation services, and other vital aid to crisis-affected countries. Your support can help us continue our life-saving programs around the world.

But we need to act now, before it's too late. Please, will you donate today?

Thank you for helping us scale up our work to protect children and families worldwide.
