Dear John,

When each of us at Farm Aid sits down with friends and family for Thanksgiving tomorrow, we’ll be grateful to the farmers who made our meals possible. We are also forever grateful to you for celebrating and supporting family farmers alongside us. Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Farm Aid!

Additionally, we're thankful for...

Good Food

One way to support family farmers is to buy their food. Beets are affordable, packed with antioxidants and easy to find throughout fall and winter – even in cold places.

Farm Aid’s Culinary Manager Carolina Reid is responsible for bringing to life Farm Aid’s vision for HOMEGROWN Food for All©, the food served at our festivals. HOMEGROWN Food© makes it possible for festivalgoers to enjoy food that is produced by family farmers who use ecological practices and who receive a fair price for their product. Check out Carolina's recipe for "Beet Walnut Salad," [[link removed]] a dish that was served at Farm Aid 40 and would be a perfect addition to a Thanksgiving table.

Staying Informed

Traveling this holiday week? If so, tune into our new podcast episode (out today) [[link removed]] while you're on the road. In this episode, we take you back to Farm Aid 40 in Minneapolis, where we spoke to policymakers about challenges farmers face. First, Hannah Tremblay, Farm Aid's Policy and Advocacy Manager, helps frame the conversation, telling us about the state of the Farm Bill and what's happening in farm country. Then we talk to Governor Tim Walz, Congresswoman Angie Craig and Senator Amy Klobuchar!

As Farm Aid celebrates our 40th year, we hope that you’ll support our mission [[link removed]] to celebrate and bolster family farmers by connecting them to the resources they need to thrive, providing emergency relief when disasters strike, fighting for fair farm policies and building the movement for family farm food.

After Black Friday and Cyber Monday comes GivingTuesday on December 2, a global day of giving. Mark your calendars and consider making a gift [[link removed]] to support Farm Aid and our family farmers. Your donation to Farm Aid will be DOUBLED this year thanks to the good people at Willie's Remedy+ who have generously pledged a $40,000 GivingTuesday matching gift [[link removed]] in honor of Farm Aid's 40th anniversary!

DOUBLE YOUR IMPACT ON GIVINGTUESDAY [[link removed]] Music

There’s something else to give thanks for: Farm Aid music! Watch this YouTube playlist [[link removed]] we created with performances from Farm Aid 40 while you're cooking or traveling.

Also, on Thanksgiving Day, listen to a special encore broadcast of “Farm Aid 40” on SiriusXM's Willie’s Roadhouse [[link removed]] for free!
