As I travel the state campaigning for Lt. Governor, I keep hearing from families concerned about headline after headline showing criminals victimizing our communities after being let back on the streets by lawless policies from liberal District Attorneys and Judges.

They’re scared their son or daughter will become the next Laken Riley. I’m going to do something about it.

Violent crime spiked 10–15% during 2020–2022; even homicides went up 30%. With up to 50% of all violent crimes being committed by first-time offenders, our families are at risk without deterrence.

States like Louisiana and Florida have enacted new tough-on-crime policies to stop the violence. Now it’s time for Georgia to get back to common sense.

This session, I’m introducing the One Strike, You’re Out Act in Georgia.

This is a targeted, family-first approach making life in prison eligible for a single violent felony conviction and death penalty eligible for raping a child under 12—modeled on proven laws in Florida, Louisiana, and Kentucky.

If you commit a violent felony even once in Georgia, you go to prison for life. You rape a child? Death penalty. No ifs, no ands, no buts.

One violent act should be enough to remove a predator from our streets—permanently.

I jumped in the race for Lt. Governor because we need to bring President Trump’s America First Agenda to Georgia. It’s time to put our families first, reject political games, and crush violent crime once and for all.
