Register to vote now to ensure your ballot is counted on Election Day
Earlier this month, we wrote to recommend that you register to vote or update your registration soon to be fully prepared for Election Day, November 3rd. This year, Virginians will have the opportunity to elect candidates for President, U.S. Senator and U.S. Representative – and in some localities – for “down-ballot” offices. In Faithful Citizenship, the U.S. Catholic Bishops have reminded us to exercise our voice and our vote in public life.
Because in-person voting on Election Day may be more challenging this year due to COVID-19, you may wish to consider either voting by Absentee Ballot or, alternatively, by voting Early in-person. Both of these options would reduce potential concerns posed by large turnout at polling places on Election Day. Please see below for important deadlines and to request an absentee ballot.
