discussion with New York Times bestselling author Jenny Offill.
Join us Sunday, July 26, at 5:00pm on Zoom for “Cli-Fi, Literature, and Activism
with Jenny Offill.”

During the event, Jenny Offill will perform a reading of her new novel, Weather , an anxious and funny novel that follows a librarian who is gradually awakened
to the climate crisis and tries to balance that with her daily life.
As a Guardian reporter put it, “At its core, the story asks: what happens after we start to
pay attention?” During the event discussion, we’ll aim to answer that very
question. You’ll be able to ask all your questions, and come away with new
thoughts on:
* Does a crisis inspire good art?
* Can art be separated from a crisis?
* And more — it’s up to you!
Because we at CCAN believe nothing happens in a vacuum, we’ll also be joined by
a member of the Black Voters Matter Capacity Building Institute to bring in how
environmental justice is tied to the upcoming election — the most important
election of our lives. We’ll encourage everyone in attendance (and now!) to
donate to this organization’s wonderful and important work fighting voter
suppression nationwide. CCAN will match all donations up to $2,000!
