Today, we’re celebrating a victory for our community: the Supreme Court announced it will not hear the case challenging Obergefell v. Hodges. Marriage equality stands.
This is a moment of relief — and joy. But it’s also a reminder of how fragile our rights can be. Just this year, nine U.S. states introduced legislation supporting the petition to roll back marriage equality. The threat didn’t disappear today; it simply didn’t advance.
