** John,

Last week, to the surprise of no one, the already fragile ceasefire in Gaza was broken by Netanyahu.
Israel launched heavy air strikes that killed over 100 people, most of them women and children, and then declared the ceasefire restored shortly after.
While Netanyahu continues to act with impunity, Trump defended the strikes — insisting that “nothing is going to jeopardize” the truce. This is exactly how atrocities are normalized: when those in power excuse them instead of condemning them.

We cannot keep writing blank checks for bombs that level entire neighborhoods and destroy lives. That’s why the Block the Bombs Act I introduced earlier this year–to end U.S. funding and weapons transfers that enable this violence–is more important than ever. It’s why we now have over 70 of my colleagues signed on as co-sponsors.

Opposing genocide in Gaza is not a “radical position.” It is the bare minimum. And yet my vocal opposition to it will always make me a target of conservative interests who see their power slowly slipping away.
We cannot let that stop us from holding those in power accountable — whether here at home or abroad. I hope you will join me and send a message that we won’t be intimidated or silenced. ([link removed])
In Solidarity,
Delia
